P52 Photo Challenge – Resolution

This year I’ve decided to participate in Project 52, hosted by Darcy of My 3 Boybarians.

P52 is a weekly photo challenge that encourages “photographers” to spend more time with their camera actually using it. I certainly don’t refer to myself as a photographer, but I’m most definitely someone who enjoys taking pictures.

Although I enjoy it, if I’m not at a holiday event, I often forget that my camera can be used. I don’t have to have friends and family surrounding me to pull out the camera and it doesn’t have to be the biggest party that creates an excuse to get it out.

Hopefully, as Darcy says, this will finally be a resolution I can keep! ;)

This week’s challenge was: Resolution.

Normally each year you’d find me saying, “I want to lose weight. I want to get organized. I want, I want…”

While I do work at many of those things throughout the year, I often forget what I initially set out to do. This year, I’ve chosen to follow in the footsteps of many of my friends and I’ve chosen one word to focus on: NOW.

Whaaaa? Now? Yes, NOW.

Too many times I say, “I’ll do that later. I don’t have time.” I’m missing out on things. I’m passing up opportunities. Instead of walking by the pile of laundry that I don’t want to tackle, I hope to stop, fold some clothes, and move along.

As much as I hate laundry it might free up spare time down the road to do something that I really, really want to do – like watch a movie or bake up some sweet treats. :)

I like your word! I chose a word for myself too. I liked the idea of it better than I do the whole resolution thing, even though it is kind of the same thing. Anyway, your word is wonderful and so is your photograph. :)

You are very brave to have ‘now’ be your word. ;)
Also? Can I please have that timer? It would go beautifully in my kitchen.

It’s so funny how many compliments I got on that timer. I use it for everything though! If I knew where to find one just like it, I’d totally get one for ya! ;)
